Twin Souls
You grew up in your country
and I in mine
We come from different worlds
were born at different times
Of course we've had our trials
of youth and of the heart
Our paths would one day cross
through chance or on a lark
I do believe that is was God
who put you in my life
To be eachother's strength
and guidance in shared strife
The love is but a given
as we fulfill our roles
Our hearts and hopes entwine
to create twin souls

For You
For years I've searched for words
to describe my love for you
Writing of sadness and death
were always easy to do
Each time I reach for a pen
and put it to my paper
Thoughts and words escape me
as if hidden by some vapor
Our love is a kind of hope
for which I am not familiar
The belief that I deserve good is something I've never considered
My eyes radiate with beams of light
that would brighten any storm
You are on my mind when I awake
and with each task that I perform
For years I've searched for words
to describe my love for you
You're in each breath and beat of my heart
and thats the best I can do

A light in my darkness
Immersed in your touch
I revel in you
and love you so much
I swim in your eyes
such deep pools of love
Wrapped in your smile
A gift from above
I revel in you
The intensity we share
Unto you I give myself
The answer to my prayers
A light in my darkness
With you I am free
Immersed in your touch
And your deep love for me
